DGA Domestic Gas Safety Competency for RGI
The aim of the Registered Gas Instructor Ireland (RGII) Reassessment and Training is to provide registered participants currently working in the gas industry an opportunity to upgrade their skills and knowledge to ensure that they are up to date with current procedures prior to applying for reassessment.
The CDETB Ballyfermot Training Centre (BTC) has a comprehensive purpose-designed assessment facility specifically dedicated to gas safety assessment. It is fully fitted out with tailored working bays so all relevant tests can be carried out by those seeking domestic gas assessment.
It also offers an optional pre-assessment training course that applicants can complete before taking the formal assessment.
The theory and practical elements of the assessment process take place over two days with the applicant receiving DGA certification that is valid for five years on successful completion.
Applicants must produce certificates and RGII Registration ID / Number within last 2 years
Good numerical skills and verbal and written command of the English language are essential.
The aim of this assessment is to maintain the 5 year cycle of gas certification. Gas registered operatives are required to renew their qualifications by part-taking in gas re-assessment.
